Eiffel Tower

When you speak of the most romantic things that can be done when in Paris, there is perhaps nothing more popular than the Eiffel Tower. Standing tall and proud at a height of 324 metres, in was built in 1889 for the World Exposition. This is one of the most spectacular landmarks not only in Paris but in the rest of the world as well.

To make the visit more romantic, see it at night. When the tower lights up, have a kiss, snap a picture, or simply stare at the beauty of the tower. It is unlike anything else that you can find in any other place. Another romantic activity that you can do is to climb on the first or second floor, which is a good vantage point to enjoy a sight of the city. You can also take a lift to the top, which has a transparent floor. You can grab a romantic dinner or drink a glass of champagne. The view will surely make your date more romantic.

Notre Dame Cathedral

This gothic cathedral is one of the most popular tourist attractions and places of worship in the city. The construction began in the 12th century, but it was brought into completion only after 300 years. It is an architectural marvel, which already makes it romantic.

For Christian visitors, there is a mass held three times daily. If you are going here with a Christian date, hearing the mass can be a romantic activity for both of you. Aside from the mass, you can climb up 402 steps to the top of the cathedral's tower. Here, you will see a beautiful view of the city, which becomes even more beautiful when enjoyed with your date.

Arch de Triomphe

Just on the right side of River Seine, you will see one of the city's most iconic landmarks. The Arch de Triomphe was built to honour those who fought during the Napoleonic wars. The arch is engraved with the names of the generals and the wars where they fought. More than just being historic, it can also be a romantic destination. Just walking in the arch while holding hands, admiring the views together or kissing in front of, it will surely exude romance in more ways than one.
